What does being an ARLA member mean?
Moreover, Grant Property is a member of ARLA - the UK industry standard for letting agents. As a member, we've signed up to a code of conduct - meaning we operate to the highest standards and ensure our property management team delivers on service and best practice. Tenants and landlords benefit from best practice and good service.
Grant Property staff are ARLA trained and fully understand all the issues - large and small - regarding good property management. So if you are a tenant looking for a house to rent or a flat to rent from Grant Property, you know each house to rent and flat to rent is managed to a very high standard.
Accreditation
We aim to achieve accreditation locally in all the cities we operate in. Where an accreditation standard exists, we have developed good relationships with the universities and councils who run the system. This means that our tenants benefit from living in homes which are of a very high standard, and well managed by a skilled team.
Green
Global warming is the No.1 issue facing us. We have engaged with The Energy Saving Trust to reduce our carbon emissions in properties, through tenant's guides and practical measures. Most of our recently renovated houses to rent and flats to rent are renovated to a high standard, meaning emissions are cut by between 20% - 30%, reducing your energy bills and helping save the planet. We are in the process of switching all our propertiesd to rent to a green energy supplier, Scottish and Southern Electric.
How YOU can make a difference in your home.
The average carbon footprint of a UK home is apporximately 4.5 tonnes of CO2 per annum. You can help to reduce the emissions from your home and reduce your energy bills by following these simple steps:
- Turn electrical appliances off rather than leave them on standby.
- Unplug your mobile phone charger once finished.
- Shut blinds and close curtains at dusk to keep the heat in.
- Turn off lights in empty rooms.
- Wait for a full load and wash your clothes at 30 degrees.
- Tumble dryers are costly to run; use a clothes horse or washing line where you can.
- Take advantage of your boiler timer to set heat and water wisely.
- Reach for a jumper instead of turning up the thermostat.
- Avoid placing furniture in front of radiators.
- Have a shower rather than a bath whenever possible.
